The story of
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Francis Dacey Sr., who left this world on March 2, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on August 5, 1955, William spent the last 20 plus years of his life in Joshua Tree, California, a place he called home and cherished deeply. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, William served his country with honor before dedicating over two decades to his work as a process server. Beyond his career, he was a man of strong convictions and an avid political thinker who enjoyed deep conversations about the world. He found joy in the open road, riding his motorcycle whenever he had the chance, and was always up for a good movie or TV show. He also loved bowling, spending countless hours at the lanes enjoying the game and the camaraderie that came with it. Above all, William was a devoted father, father-in-law, and grandfather. He leaves behind his three sons, Sean Dacey, Michael Dacey, and William Francis Dacey Jr. (Billy), as well as his daughters-in-law, Stephanie Dacey and Kimberly Dacey. He was a proud grandfather to Jasper Dacey (14), Kealani Dacey (11), and Jaylynn Dacey (9), whom he adored. William was the beloved son of Elvera and Joseph Dacey Sr., both of whom preceded him in death. He was a loving brother to Joseph Dacey Jr. and is reunited in peace with his sister, Kathleen Dacey. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. May he ride freely in the skies, forever watching over those he loved. A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of William will be held later this year, organized by Michael Dacey and Stephanie Dacey. The date, time, and location will be provided later. The family kindly asks friends and loved ones to share any photos, videos, or stories of William to help keep his memory alive. Please send them to daceymemorial25@yahoo.com or reach out to Michael Dacey or Stephanie Dacey on Facebook.
