Victor Dorian passed away peacefully in his home in Los Angeles in the afternoon on October 2, 2024 following a struggle with cancer. Victor Dorian was born Valeri Dormostukov to Mariya and Nikolai on May 29, 1947 in Kyiv, Ukraine, USSR. He immigrated to the United States in 1978 with his wife, daughter, and mother-in-law; first living in Chicago, then realizing he could be both free and warm, he moved to Los Angeles in the mid 80s. He lived a full and creative life as an artist from an early age and wished to share his passion for art with the world. He continued painting, art, and design until he was disabled by illness. He leaves us his art collection and inspiration for a world beyond a white or black canvas; one filled with beauty and color, mountains, landscapes, and flowers, here on earth and beyond to outer space. Victor is preceded in death by his mother, Mariya; and father, Nikoali. He is survived by his wife, Ludmilla; their daughter, Marina; his grandson, Exodus; as well as his sister, Nelya, niece; Vita and nephew Ilya. A celebration of life will be held in mid-November.
