The story of
My daughter Samantha Casas was born in the afternoon on June 25, 1990, in Northridge California. It was a sunny day and her eyes were wide open, her fist clenched, and a loud scream came out of her. No crying, that wasn’t her way. She was born with a fire in her that perhaps burned too bright, too hot, too fast. She was the mother of 5, 2 daughters and 3 sons. She was not a fan of societal norms or rules. They were much too constraining. She did not like staying in one place too long as she liked to explore and move about. She loved nature and really had little use for material things. She loved the color black and things of the night, perhaps because she knew her light was bright enough to light the way. She was a warrior on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside which was her vulnerability. She herself was a force of nature and God help you if you challenged her or expected her to live or be a certain way. Her light went out on October 25, 2024. She was 34 years old and passed away in Idaho Springs, Colorado. She is survived by her five children, her parents Tabitha Lustig and Chad Casas, her siblings Ashley, Ema, Jared and Tyler and her grandparents Louisa, Dale, Margie, and Pete. At this time a memorial will be planned in the summer of 2025. There is no planned funeral as that is not what she would want. If you would like to do something in Sam's memory, please plant a tree, visit a National Park or go visit the Ocean. Those are the places you will be closest to her.
