Ruth Esther died peacefully on Monday morning August 26 at her Phoenix home. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, neighbors and every stray animal she crossed paths with. Born on the 26th of June, 1936, in Stuttgart, Germany, Ruth was raised along with a loving older brother and a wonderful younger sister by both parents. After the war she met her husband to be, Manfred Stricker, and married at the age of nineteen. The young couple soon had their first of three sons Thomas, #2 Rene and #3 Alex followed. The family immigrated to the US by ship on September 1, 1964. They lived several years on the east coast and moved to Phoenix in 1967. On September 21, 1970, Ruth and family proudly became citizens of the United States of America. Ruth worked in international banking and insurance ultimately quitting to raise her family. She enjoyed traveling the globe and taking in animals of every type. She left this world loved to the end by all those who knew her! Her wish Is that you pray the Lord's Prayer and Psalm 23. In lieu of flowers, she would smile in heaven knowing that you supported your local animal shelter. May she rest in the loving arms of Our Lord for eternity.
