Robert “Bob” Ludwick (71), of Hemet, California, passed away on January 23, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was born November 9, 1953 in Dumas, Texas, and was the second of five children born to Mary and Charles Ludwick. The family spent time in Texas, and New Mexico, before eventually making California their home.
Bob spent much of his life in Riverside, California, and in his youth had a talent for drawing and art. Eventually Bob decided to try his hand at music, and this is where he discovered his true passion. Bob became a talented guitar player, and as a young man was the member of a local rock band.
Bob spent most of his career working as an HVAC technician, but was really a jack of all trades, skilled at plumbing, among many other things. He was involved in various projects with family over the years putting these skills to use. He also spent some time working on an oil rig in Texas.
Bob enjoyed an active lifestyle filled with hobbies such as playing frisbee, roller skating, and practicing martial arts. His main passion above all was always still his music. Bob had big dreams, and poured his soul into writing songs, and making music. He had many copyrighted songs, and had set up a recording studio in his home which brought him many hours of enjoyment and pride.
His family and friends will remember him for the joy he brought into their lives through his love of music, dedication, and “never stop dreaming” spirit.
Bob is survived by his mother Mary Petty; his sister Jeanine Vaughan; his brother John Ludwick; his daughter Lorelei Wilson and her husband Mike; and his beloved grandchildren Kyla, Jared, Nathan, and Luke Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Ludwick; and brothers William and Charles Ludwick.
