The story of
Patty Lu Biglin Ransier 1/8/35 – 6/29/24 Patty Ransier, 89, passed away from kidney failure on June 29, 2024, in Vancouver, WA. There to meet her in heaven are her two daughters Debra Lynn (Debi) and Donna Gail (Peanut). Patty is survived by her sons David Michael (Joan) and Karl Bruce (Brandie). Patty loved her children dearly and adored her 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren who called her GG. Her daughters left this earth too early; Peanut was only 3, and Debi was 47. Patty is also survived by her special caregivers Karrie Benedict and Denise Darby. Patty’s family is forever grateful for the love and care these two ladies gave Patty. Patty was an avid reader, enjoyed crochet and embroidery, displayed a huge collection of owls, and had fun playing games & assembling jigsaw puzzles with Karrie & Denise. Patty was born in Moscow, Idaho and moved with her family to Pasco, WA when she was a young child. At 16, she married Michael Ransier, and they had four children: David, Debi, Karl, and Peanut. In 1968, the family moved to Tacoma, WA. Patty was a homemaker during her marriage. In the 80’s she and Michael divorced, and Patty worked as a housekeeper for a hotel and then a nursing home. Later, she was a thrift store clerk. In 2004 she retired to Woodland, WA to be near her son David. Patty had a special way with words and “tropical illusion” instead of “optical illusion” became a family saying, thanks to Patty-speak. Moving forward, saying it will make us smile and think of her. She entertained all with her stories and when her children were growing up, she was “Mom” to all the neighbor kids. Everyone loved Patty.
