Pat Purdy of Portland, Oregon died peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on July 15 at the age of 87. Pat was born on May 27, 1937 in Portland, OR to Joseph and Barbara Manning. A lifelong Oregonian, she graduated from Washington High School in 1955. In 1956 she married Sam Purdy, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2004. Together they raised two children, James (Jim) and Erin. She worked as an Executive Assistant and HR Manager for Fine Arts Engraving for many years. Pat maintained an active schedule after retirement, traveling, volunteering, walking, and participating in a wide variety of activities with a large circle of dear friends. Her family will remember and miss her love, her competitive nature when playing games, and, of course, her biscuits. Pat is survived by her children Jim (Kimberly) and Erin (Sky), her sister Marilyn Sirianni (Myrnie), grandchildren Ryan (partner Caitlin), Stephen (wife Natalie), Erik (wife Rachel), and great-grandchildren Theo and Calvin. She will be reunited with Sam at Willamette National Cemetery.
