Norma Jean Felkins (Meema), 88, of Glendale, Arizona went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 31, 2024 surrounded by her family after a short battle with Leukemia. Norma was born on 11/27/1935 in West Portsmouth , Ohio to Earl and Wilma Miller. She grew up in Ohio, married and started a family. In 1961 she followed her twin Sister and Mother out to Phoenix, Arizona. Norma raised her three children, three step-children, three nephews and one niece. Norma loved children. She would reach out to any child in need to provide love, a hot meal or encouragement. Norma was very selfless, she didn't care about money or possessions. She would give her last of anything, to make sure someone else's need was met. Norma loved to read; especially her Bible and books about nature. She could tell you the migration pattern of just about any bird or butterfly. Norma had a gift for writing. Though never published, she wrote various stories and poems from her heart. She was "Meema" to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and many children in whose lives she deeply touched throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her father (Earl Miller), her mother(Wilma Finch), her twin sister(Wilma Woolford) and two nephews(Steve Sparks and Greg Sparks). She is survived by her three children; Robert "Dave" Payton (Linda), Susan Cook and Lisa Reckart (Kevin). Eight grandchildren; David Payton, Daniel Payton (Julie), Amy Marcus (Steve), Stephanie Hamilton, Jennifer Tanguay (Stephen), Ali Cook, Taylor Payton (MacKenzie), Levi Gregory (Zach), twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Mom (Meema) we love you and miss you so much. But we will see you again soon in Heaven.
