Nathan Bouren, age 78, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 11th, 2023. He lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and musical excellence.
Nathan was married to his soulmate, MaryEllen, for 54 years and together they raised three sons, Joe, Aaron, and Kevin. Nathan was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Kayla, Brady, Annalise, Luke, and Happy Zac. Nathan loved his Daughters in Love, Jen, Adra and Jenny. He was also a devoted son to his deceased parents, Faye and Thelma, and a loving brother to his sisters, Cheraux and Brenda.
Nathan's exceptional career as a Minister of Music took him to churches across the country, where he inspired countless individuals through his musical talents. He had a passion for directing choirs, orchestras, and musicals, and always put his heart and soul into every performance. He and his wife were also compassionate caregivers, taking in 42 teenage foster boys through the Youth Opportunities Unlimited Program in Arizona.
Nathan was a devout Christian, with a favorite Bible verse of Psalm 13:6.. "I will sing unto the Lord because He has dealt bountifully with me." Nathan also had a great love for the hymn, "How Great Thou Art." He lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment and putting Jesus first. Nathan stood out in a crowd with his love for bright and crazy colors. He was a true friend, always willing to lend a hand and one of his favorite quotes was "many hands make light work."
Nathan will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his love and compassion will live on through the lives he touched. He will be remembered as a true leader and an inspiration to all who knew him.
