It is with great sadness that I share that my mom, Nancy Lee Pilgrim Walzel, passed away yesterday (May 5, 2024) at her son’s home in Colorado. She had just celebrated her 75th birthday at her home in Texas where she lived with me, her daughter, Ashlee, son-in-law, Jonathon, and youngest grandson, Hunter. She went to Colorado to visit her son, Trevor, and granddaughter, Alethia and we’re thankful she was able to spend time with them before passing. She was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, wife. She was a loyal and loving friend, a true nurturer, who loved animals, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with her family. Everyone who knew her loved her beautiful spirit and contagious laughter. She cared deeply for her friends and family and was always a source of strength for anyone needing unconditional love and support through trying times. Her generosity and thoughtful nature was admirable and set the best example for all of us. We find peace knowing she is joining her late husband, Marcus Harden, in heaven. She is survived by Trevor Walzel (son), Alethia Walzel (granddaughter), Tobin Walzel (grandson), Ashlee Kennemer (daughter), Jonathon Kennemer (son-in-law), Hunter Kennemer (grandson), and Brandon Walzel (who was like another son to her). *A Celebration of Life will be held at our TX home in the fall.
