The story of
Michael (Crazy Horse/Coyote) Enriquez 69, of Ridgecrest, CA transitioned to the afterlife on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Baldwin Park, CA. Mike was born in San Fernando, CA, February 16, 1955, 4th child of Ruth Victoria Martinez and Thomas Kilgore Enriquez. He attended the Antelope Valley Public School System and graduated from Quartz Hill High School in 1974. Mike previously lived in Antelope Acres, CA where he lived and helped raised his three children. Michael was a Public Works Crew Leader at RD 551 in Quartz Hill when he retired from Public Works in 1996. He then moved to Ridgecrest and helped take care of extended family. Mike's hobbies were gardening (Mr. Greenthumb) making dream catchers, making native american necklaces, and woodworking. He liked watching classic movies, cooking, listening to good music, posting pictures on facebook, playing games, and communicating with his family on social media. Mike was a kind soul. He loved his family fiercely. He was crafty, lived modestly, helped others, and enjoyed his granddaughters. He was an amazing papa, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin, and friend. Mike is survived by his Sisters - Rosie Jo Hoffman, Theresa Barfield & Patricia Urice; Children - Luana, Louis, and Melanie Enriquez; Granddaughters - Minninnewah & Mahavera Enriquez; Ex-Wife Loretta Pozega-Thompson; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Mike is predeceased in death by his Father - Thomas Enriquez; Mother - Ruth Jenkins; Sister - Tomasa Ramos; Niece - Pamela Gutierrez Burial is planned for October 4, 2024, 11:00 a.m. DESERT LAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 2200 East Avenue S, Palmdale, CA 93550. Celebration of Life will be at Apollo Community Regional Park 4555 W. Ave. G Lancaster, CA 93536, 1:00 p.m.
