Former Illinois native and retired elementary school teacher Mary Rita "Rita" Samlin, 94, passed away this winter in Scottsdale, AZ. Rita enjoyed playing social bridge, travel, museums, theater, music, reading non-fiction, a good cup of coffee with dessert, gabbing with friends and her feline companion, Chloe.
