The story of
On June 27th, 2024, Mary Elizabeth went home to be with our Lord. She was born August 28th, 1943, in Bellows Falls, Vermont, the daughter of Kendall (Tony) and Doris (Dot Bemis) Beam, both deceased. Her sister Virginia (Ginny) Paige is also deceased. She is survived by her brother, Raymond A. Beam and partner H. James Riggs, two daughters, Jennifer Rowan, husband Kenny, Monica Goucher Millen and husband Kevoy. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Logan Rowan, Karena M. Rivera and husband Will, Ami A. Rickel and husband Jason, and Tatiana M Rivera. She also has 3 great granddaughters and one great grandson. She loved life, from being raised on a farm in Vermont with horses, which she loved to ride, swim in the river, go racing, listen to and sing country music, and went on to restauraunt management, where she took all "her girls" under her wings at Hojo's. She worked all her life and finally resided in Arizona, where "she shoveled the sunshine", retired from County Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician, but wasn't happy staying home so she then "retired from Best Western" when she could no longer get around due to the MS. She always found time for her family , gave advice and set an example for us and taught us to have faith in a higher power. She was deeply loved and touched so many people in her lifetime. The family is planning a celebration of life on August 24th, 2024, place tbd. with graveside burial at the Rockingham Meeting House Cemetery. Contact Ray, Monica or Jennifer for details.
