The story of
Lois Seeley-Tollison, born November 20th, 1943, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 80 on August 31st, 2024 in Corvallis, Oregon. She has gone home to her family to celebrate a long-awaited reunion. Lois was born in Corvallis, Oregon. From the age of five, she lived at and attended The Salem School For The Deaf until she graduated. She spent many years with her husband and daughter in Portland until returning to Corvallis in the mid-1980s. Lois enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and cross-stitching. She treasured her friendships with the other deaf parishioners at her church, which she attended regularly. She loved cats, old movies, and Elvis Presley. She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Monroe Tollison, her parents Hubert (Jay) and Margaret Seeley, and siblings Farrell (Sid), Edwin, Ernest (Al), and Kathryn. She is survived by her daughter Windy, her two grandchildren Collin and Mikaela, and her brothers Merle and Jerry. Per her wishes, there will be no services, and her ashes will be spread on Mary’s Peak. If you would like to make a donation in her honor, please channel them to Mid Valley Baptist Church in Corvallis. It brings great comfort knowing that Lois can finally hear her parents’ voices, the song of a bird, and the purr of the kittens that she is surely surrounded by now.
