In loving memory of Lisa McKenney, a cherished wife, devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend. Leaving a void that can never be filled, on November 18th, 2023, Lisa McKenney departed from our lives unexpectedly. At the young age of 62, her sudden absence is a profound loss for her family and friends. We mourn the departure of a remarkable soul whose impact will be forever remembered. In the span of her life, she enriched the lives of those around her with love, compassion, and unwavering support. Born to Marjorie Lee Holmes and Patrick Parsons on June 1st, 1961, Lisa was an only child. She is survived by her loving husband of over 41 years, Jeffrey McKenney, their two daughters and two sons-in-law, Ashlee and Shawn Tonkin and Briana and Jon Schroeder, as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was the proud Nana to two grandchildren, Ethan and Olivia Schroeder and soon to be third grandchild, Kennedy Tonkin. Her grandchildren were two of her main joys in life, as was early retirement spent traveling and exploring, by truck and trailer, over 20 states with Jeff and their rescue dog, Goose. Lisa's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of family bonds, shared laughter, and enduring love. May her spirit live on in the hearts of those she loved and may fond memories be a source of strength and solace bringing comfort during this difficult time. It was Lisa’s desire to be cremated and to have her ashes scattered at the lake where she spent so many cherished days with her family. If love could have saved her, Lisa would have lived forever. Instead of flowers, Lisa would want you to express your love to those you value. A celebration of life will occur at 1pm on January 13th, 2024, at the McKenney residence in Maple Valley, WA. All who knew her are welcome to come.
