"So, if you are too tired to speak, sit next to me because I, too, am fluent in silence."
- R. Arnold
On March 22, 2025, Larry L. Money passed away surrounded by his family. He is survived by his cherished wife of 33 years, Kasi Money; daughters, Ronda Solomon, Audrey Cole (Jeffrey), Deborah Zolfi (Maggie Bailey); grandchildren, Alexander Money-San Miguel, Robert A. Solomon, Katherine Solomon, Silas Solomon, Parker Bailey Zolfi and Austin Bailey Zolfi; and his brother, Paul Money (Robin).
Larry was born on December 3, 1941 to Lou and Marvel Money. He grew up in Honor, Michigan graduating from Honor Public School in 1960 after which he attended the University of Michigan in 1965.
After graduation, Larry moved his family to Corpus Christi, Texas where he was a successful architect and professor of Architectural Technology at Del Mar College. He taught for 34 years, mentoring many generations of students and co-authored Auto CAD text and reference books.
While living in the Texas Coastal Bend, Larry was active in many civic and creative organizations, including the Creative Arts Center. Corpus Christi is also where he met the love of his life, Kasi.
He “retired” in 2007 and continued his private architectural practice, eventually moving his home to Westminster, Colorado.
Larry loved living in Colorado and being in the mountains; he also enjoyed traveling, reading books, watching his beloved Wolverines play football or basketball and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Quiet in nature and always there when his family needed him, Larry was the calm that held us together. We will carry his memory and the lessons he taught us forever.
To remember Larry’s life, Celebration of Life ceremonies will be held in Colorado and Texas. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Larry‘s name to The Prostate Cancer Institute, PCRI.org/donate
