The story of
Predeceased by parents Jack Kretheotis and Bertte Kretheotis (Silverman). Survived by: Erika Wainman (daughter), Donovan Wainman (grandson), Derek Marinelli (son), Steven Kreth (brother), Addie Kraumnauer (half-sister), nephews and nieces. Larissa graduated from Lew Wallace HS in Gary, IN in addition to her BS and MS Degree from Indiana University with an ESL endorsement. She taught in Indiana and Arizona for 25 years and was lucky to retire at 57. Her passions included the Fine and Performing Arts, in addition to volunteer ushering at Symphony Hall and the Orpheum. She was fortunate to travel internationally which she loved and also treasured her time spent with Erika and Donovan. She was a great supporter of various animal rescues around the valley and wanted to share some of her favorite things: for example, her top movies were: The Wizard of Oz, Les Misérables, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. She enjoyed music by R. Carlos Nakai, Sarah Brightman, and Adele. She and daughter Erika had an annual tradition of going to the Desert Botanical Gardens for the Luminarias every winter. Lastly, she requested to give a big Thank You to Erika and Donovan as well as her close friends for their immense support and help during her battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, Larissa has asked for donations to your favorite Animal Rescue, Hospice of the Valley, or the Crohn's Colitis Foundation.
