The story of
Kim Lee Garber, born March 9th, 1955, in Ottawa, Kansas, passed away August, 5th, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 68 joining his beloved wife, Kathy, in death. He was also preceded in death by his father and sister. He is survived by 2 sons, Daniel and Anthony, and 2 daughters, Angela and Cheyenne, as well as seven grandchildren, his mother Pauline, his brother Timothy, and a loving extended family. Kim worked assisting a master cabinet maker in Costa Mesa, California before working decades in the casino industry in Laughlin, Nevada until he retired to care for his wife Kathy prior to her death. Kim was an avid camper, he and Kathy were spontaneous and adventurous, and would often take off on camping adventures with no set destinations. He liked to paint, draw, could make wonderful things out of wood, and he was a talented writer. He was a boisterously charming, handsome man. Loved by men, women, and children. He was fun and playful and outrageous. He was an off the cuff comedian, with a random hilarity that was unmatched. He always ready to cheer someone on. A jokester, a sports fan, a wild man, a father, brother and son. A beloved friend. Kim’s presence leaves a void in its place for so many. It was his desire to be cremated and to have his ashes scattered with Kathy’s. A celebration of his life will be held in his honor at a later date.
