The story of Kevin
Kevin T. Morriston passed away at home on July 27, 2023 at the age of 55. Born July 3, 1968 in Phoenix, he lived most of his life in the valley except for a short time in Camp Verde and several years in California. Kevin became interested in the HVAC industry and went to RSI for training. He was enthusiastic about what he was learning, wanting to share his knowledge with all who would listen. After a couple of setbacks, air conditioning became his passion. Although not a large man he was proud of his strength and ability to work long days in the hottest of conditions. Kevin had gone to work for a good-sized A/C business, and it was there that he met Jessica Marrese. Though young, Jess was familiar with the industry since her father owned an A/C business. As she grew in knowledge of office procedures Kevin was getting good field experience. Kevin had an inquisitive mind and wanted to know the "why" equipment was installed a certain way as well as the "how" to fix it. The two of them soon became a couple and within two years they were married. As the years went by both Kevin and Jess grew well-founded in their respective jobs. Kevin was an expert service tech and would often resolve problems when others could not, gaining respect within the industry. After five years he was promoted to Service Manager. After ten years of working for someone else, Kevin and Jess started their own business; Four Seasons Home Services. They later bought a concierge business that specializes in caring for upscale homes. Both businesses became very successful. Kevin had a thirst for knowledge and could talk about a great number of subjects; you always got the unfiltered version. He often began with "Hey, check it out." The family enjoyed travel, going to Hawaii, Italy, New York City, and Rocky Point. They also went on several cruises. Kevin enjoyed good food, always ready to "take a taste," sometimes from another's plate! Then he would share his. He loved to BBQ and fix holiday meals. He had a refrigerator drawer just for chocolate. In recent years he enjoyed spending more time with his children and grandchildren. Kevin is survived by his wife, Jessica Morriston; parents, Don and Linda Morriston of Prescott; two daughters from a previous marriage, Brittany (Rito) Guerra and Akasha Morriston; sons, Robert and Karter; grandchildren, Reyna, Arabella, and Rito (jr) Guerra, and Ariela Morriston; two sisters, Laura (Eke) Chapin and Dana Lashley (Izzy Harris). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
