The story of
Kevin Christian Haugaard, 69, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Florence, Arizona. Born on March 10, 1955, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. Kevin was the son of Russell and Lucy Haugaard. He graduated from Coon Rapids High School class of 1973 and married Carla Nilson on June 7, 1975. Together, they had two sons, Chad Christian and Bradley Carl. Kevin was known for his strong work ethic and craftsmanship. He dedicated 29 years of his career to Onan (Cummins) before pursuing his passion for woodworking by running a custom cabinet shop with his sons for 19 years. Later in life, he embraced the open road as a truck driver, finding freedom and adventure in the journey. Kevin had a deep love for drag racing and enjoyed working with his hands. Whether building something from scratch or lending a helping hand, he was always ready to assist others. Time spent with family was especially important to him. He is survived by his sons Chad Christian (Cathy) of Woodbury and Bradley Carl (Jami) of Ham Lake; grandchildren Alexis, Tia, Nevaeh and Braxton; step-grandchildren Martina, Elena, and Juliana; and his brother Eugene Haugaard (Jane) of Braham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lucy Haugaard. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 12, 2025, at Bunker Hills Event Center (next to Kendall's), located at 12800 Bunker Prairie Road NW in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The gathering will begin at 1:00pm with a welcome social hour, followed by a family ceremony at 2:00pm. From 2:30pm to 4:30 pm, friends and family are invited to share memories and enjoy music in honor of Kevin's Life. Kevin's memory will live on through the many lives he touched. May, those who knew him find comfort in the moments shared and the legacy he leaves behind.
