The story of
Joyce Lynn Martin, born Mar. 4, 1950, was called home to GOD on Sat. Sep. 7, 2024. She was born to Kenneth Raymond Thompson and Ellen Jane Thompson in Dallas, Texas in 1950. Joyce led a very happy life filled with family, friends and many activities; such as dancing, chili cook-offs, bowling, playing cards, gambling (slots), crafts, cooking, baking, travel, and loved Mexican food. In 1978 she married the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) D. Martin, and they were lucky to have celebrated 40 years together. Joyce is survived by her three children, Stephanie M. Jackson of Dallas, TX, Jason A. Robertson of San Antonio, TX, and Joshua Robertson of Murrieta, CA. Joyce is also survived by two siblings; her older sister Linda Kay Goss and her younger brother Lawrence (Larry) R. Thompson. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Charles (Chuck), her parents Kenneth and Ellen Thompson, her younger sister Lenore Ann (LeAnn) Thompson, and her youngest brother Brian S. (Scott) Thompson. Joyce loved all three of her children; her seven grandchildren, Zachary (Zack) R. Robertson, Jeremiah (Jeremy) D. Robertson, Lauren Loebell, Dixie M. Robertson, Cheyenne N. Robertson, Bryan (Blake) Reamy, and Madison B. Robertson; and her one great grandchild, Isabella (Ella) J. Robertson. Joyce will be sorely missed by all family and friends. She had a way of having a relationship with all.
