Joyce E. Grana of Sun City West, AZ, formerly of Beach Park, IL passed away peacefully December 9, 2024. Joyce is survived by her children Jennifer (William) Pence, Jonathan (Lauren) Grana and Jessica Grana. Eight grandchildren, Anthony and Samantha Pence, Jonathan, Jayden and Giada Grana, Trenton, Torren and Taylen Curry, two great grandchildren, Callan Curry and Kaidyn Curry Rodriguez, Also surviving are seven foreign exchange students who were as much her children as her biological children, Nalle Nyman, Finland; Jennifer Papp, Spain; Yendry Campos, Costa Rica; Miriam Celani, Italy; Soren Sorensen, Denmark; Elke Neuhausen, Germany; and Ilaria Lees, Italy, brothers, Paul, Phil and Perry, sisters, Joan, Judith, Jean and Janet. and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Grana, and parents George & Viola Augsburger. Joyce was loved by many people. She loved crossword puzzles, art, golf and the Arizona sun. Volunteering was another passion she enjoyed, working the soup kitchen and making quilts for the prayer shawl ministry were things that kept her busy. A celebration of life will be held on March 8, 2025 @ 10:00 am, Our Lady of Humility, 10655 W Wadsworth Rd, Beach Park, IL 60099 A luncheon will follow at the Grana residence on North Av, Beach Park.
