It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph D Slaughter, age 45, announce his passing into God's kingdom on September 2, 2023. Joseph was a graduate of St Phillips College in San Antonio TX earning a degree in imaging, Radiology Technician. Joseph was employed at Advent Health Avista in Louisville, Colorado for 11 years and was a valued and respected member of the Avista team. He was one of the first multi-modality techs who supported both MRI and CT. Joseph was compassionate, hard working and always willing to go the extra mile in his work. Joseph loved life, his family, home town friends and food and he will be fondly remembered for his charm, his ability to make others laugh, his kindness and generosity. Joseph is survived by his spouse, Laura Cantu, sister, Cassandra Slaughter, his children Isaiah Slaughter, Brianna Slaughter and Joseph J Slaughter. His grandson, Elijah Slaughter, parents Mark Slaughter and Estella Slaughter, grandparents Lorenzo and Esperanza Villa as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will take place on October 7, 2023 at St Joseph's Catholic church, followed by the interment at Mount Carmel cemetery at 11:30 am, located at 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX followed by a celebration of life, location TBD.
