On the evening of February 4, 2025, Jose "Benny" Montano, age 83, left us to be with the Lord. He was born on February 25, 1941, to Jennie and Maxcimino in LaJunta, Colorado.
He was married and survived by the love of his life, Rose, and their 3 daughters Lydia, Maria, and Cheryl. As well as his 9 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. He was also survived by his sister Margret, brother Frank, and many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, sisters Marylou and Carol, and brother Daniel.
Benny was an Honored Marine, Father, Husband, Friend, Uncle, Cousin, and Brother. He will be remembered as a jokester, always going out of his way to make people laugh. He loved fishing, working on his cars, sweets, and helping others. He always worked as hard as he played and could often be found drinking a Coors Light by the lake or in his backyard surrounded by his dogs, friends, and family.

Benny's Services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Denver, Co 80236, at 11 am. With a reception to follow at a separate location from 12-3.
