The story of
John Francis Scott (Jack) age 81, passed away on July 14, 2024 at home in Mesa, Arizona. Jack was born in Green Bay, WI on November 2, 1942 and was adopted as an infant by his aunt and uncle, Dorothy Witte and Karl Scott. He was raised in their loving family along with sons Karl Jr. and Roger. As a youth, Jack excelled in school, was an altar boy, and an Eagle Scout. His higher education included Universities in Wisconsin, Washington DC and Arizona. Jack also served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He lived and worked in Germany where he became fluent in the German Language. With his varied interests and talent, Jack worked in many professions throughout his life. His translation skills afforded him positions in business and law, banking, and in the airline and traffic industries. His artistic skills took him to jobs as a florist and in calligraphy and wood carving. He enjoyed Gourmet cooking and time with the German club, volunteering with Salt River Wild Horse Management group and played rousing games of Farkel with his neighbors. Later in life, Jack met his soulmate, Lenny Flores. After a time, they left the cold winters in Chicago and moved to Mesa, Arizona. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Karl, his brother, Karl Jr. and his life partner, Lenny, his sister-in-law Margaret and niece Bridget, his tabby cat Molly Mutz, his dogs Dixie Belle and Pippin. He is survived by brother Roger Scott, half-sister Sharron Grapentine(Robert) many nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren, and his loving friends. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
