The story of
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Wilkins, who departed from us on May 17, 2024. James was born on October 9, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, and lived a rich and fulfilling life. James is survived by his devoted spouse, Porfiria Wilkins, his loving son, David John Wilkins, his cherished daughters, Sylvia Stark and Janet McCarty. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories to his grandchildren: David James Wilkins, Malerie Nicole Wilkins, Madelyn Ellse Wilkins, and Lenny Fontes, as well as his great-grandchildren, Sage Wilkins and Cleo Wilkins. James was a proud veteran who served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. After his service, he settled in Santa Ana, California, where he raised his family and worked diligently in the aerospace industry at Boeing until his well-deserved retirement. James's passing was due to complications from hip surgery. He was 82 years old at the time of his passing. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In addition to his immediate family, James is survived by his brother, Tom Wilkins, nephew Bobby Wilkins, nieces Melissa Athanasopoulos and Dawn Eichenberger, and a host of extended family and friends. As we mourn the loss of James Wilkins, let us also celebrate the profound impact he had on each of our lives. May his memory be a blessing and a source of comfort during this difficult time.
