Jack was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 23rd, 1949. He was born to Joseph Evans Dereemer and Grace Gertrude Egger Dereemer. He had two older siblings, Joseph C. Dereemer and William S. Dereemer. On Thursday, May 18th, 2023 Jack passed away at age 74 at his home in Littleton, Colorado. Jack leaves behind his wife of almost 50 years, Carol (Sue) Dereemer and his daughter, Christine Dereemer Smith, two grandsons, Alexander & Max Ragland, and Christine's husband, Stephen L. Smith. Jack grew up on his family's ranch in Horse Creek, Wyoming. He had a propensity for mechanics and could fix anything which came in very handy on the ranch. He took an interest in amateur radio operation (HAM) following in his dad's footsteps. This was a great way to communicate with others around the world while living in a remote location. Jack enlisted in the Navy after graduating from Central High School in 1967. Once in the Navy he met Carol. They fell in love and not long after they had Christine. Upon leaving the Navy, the family moved to Colorado to be closer to Carol's family. Once in Colorado they stayed. Jack worked for many years at the United States Denver Mint. He once again was able to use his mechanical skills to maintain the printing presses along with other equipment. He retired in 2015. Jack's hobbies included being a Ham radio operator, collector of radio parts, microscopes, sewing machines, camping gear, and tools. During his life, Jack would often share his experiences on the ranch along with discussions about electronics and his latest (fix-it) projects he was working on. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jack's final wishes were that there would be no funeral.
