The story of
Helga Fox passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her beloved husband, Patrick, and their family. Born in Germany to Inga and Edgar Cattarius, Helga's life was marked by love and adventure. She met Patrick Fox, the love of her life, 60 years ago in West Germany while he was stationed at Ramstein Air Base with the US Air Force. Their bond led them to Southeast Michigan, where they built a beautiful life together, raising their daughters and creating a home filled with adventure and passion. After Patrick retired from Detroit Edison in 2000, Helga and Patrick embarked on a new chapter, traveling and living in Montana, Idaho, Washington, Arizona and Utah. They eagerly embraced new adventures and exploring together! Helga is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Patrick Fox; her loving daughters, Leslie (Jason) Bremner and Dawn (Paul) Dixon; her cherished grandchildren, Klaus (Sydney) Geistert and Khristiyana (Miles) Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Hermann and Edgar Cattarius. Helga's greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family. She was also passionate about bowling, a sport she loved and excelled at, which brought her immense happiness and a sense of community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
