The story of
Geraldine Roberson Griffin, affectionately known as “Gerrie” or “Tee-Gerrie” to those who held her dearest, age 66 of Dallas, TX, peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 10, 2025. She was born on May 1, 1958, to Andy and Marie Roberson. Geraldine accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life, she reaffirmed her faith alongside her brother, Deacon Calvin Roberson, shortly before her passing. A proud alumna of Leland Elementary, Leland High School, and Alcorn State University, Geraldine earned her degree in Marketing with a minor in Accounting. She was a loyal member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and after a committed career, she retired from Brinks/ADT Security in 2014. She was preceded in rest by her beloved parents, Andy and Marie Roberson, as well as her siblings Beulah Mae Washington and Lee Arthur Roberson. Geraldine is also survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Kenneth Griffin. The two met in the spring of 1989 while working in the telecommunications industry and quickly formed a meaningful bond. They began dating that same year and were joined in marriage on May 1, 1993 — A love story that stood strong until the moment of her transition into eternal rest. Geraldine leaves behind a loving and devoted family who will forever cherish her memory: 4 brothers: Deacon James (Lasalle) Roberson of Norfolk, Virginia, Cornelius Roberson, Tyrone Roberson, and Deacon Calvin (Monica) Roberson all of Leland, MS. She is also lovingly survived by her 4 cherished nieces known as her “GG Girls:” Cavishia (Jaylin) Murray and Kaila Roberson, of Houston, TX, Tyeisha Roberson of Greenville, MS, and Cornelia Caldwell of Leland, MS. One beloved great-niece known as her “Sunshine” Jayclyn Murray, of Houston, TX. In addition, she leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who hold a special place in her heart. She will be dearly missed by her sisters and brothers in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Geraldine will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, and enduring grace as well as her deep love for capturing memories through photos. She touched countless lives and built lasting friendships, especially with her dear friends Karen Sweaton, Katrina Okolie, Bobby Tyler, Jacqueline Frazier, Ann Brumfield, and Doris Carlisle, along with many others whose love and support meant everything to her. Her radiant spirit and enduring love will be missed by all who knew her. While we mourn her earthly departure, we rejoice in knowing she now rests peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
