Gail Campana of Boulder passed away 7/28/23. She was 87.
Gail was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Loretta and Carl Harbert. She attended business school and then worked for U.S. Steel as an Executive Assistant.
Gail met her husband, Robert Campana, in high school and they married in 1959. Gail became a stay-at-home mom, bearing four children, and was actively involved in school organizations. She was also an expert seamstress and made exquisite clothing.
Gail and Robert built a home and moved their family to Boulder in 1973 . They loved traveling in the mountains and spent many happy days in Rocky Mountain National Park watching the elk and big horned sheep roam the foothills.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Campana, son Robert A. Campana, daughter Carrie Jacobs, and son Anthony Campana. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Dale Fuller (Colorado), brother Dale Harbert (Ohio), and sister Chyrl Harbert (Colorado), as well as 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.
At the time of her death, she was residing at Frasier Meadows in Boulder, where she and her daughter were attended by a family of caregivers who made us feel welcome and at peace.
