Rev. Engracio Bobon Abad, Jr., aged 55, battled cancer for two years and died peacefully on May 3rd, 2024, at his home in Gila Bend, Arizona, USA. He was born on July 11th, 1968 in Olongapo City, Philippines, to Engracio Garcia Abad, Sr. and Marylinda Ambrosio Bobon. He married Melody Love Palisoc Bernardo on September 5, 2004 in Paranaque City, Philippines. He was a student of Denver Seminary, Littleton, Colorado finishing a Master's in Divinity degree. Prior to that, he served as an elder/pastor in four churches while he worked as a HR Manager in an international standard corporations for 30 years. Engracio emulated a strong Christ-like leadership to all churches he served. He loved exploring and enjoying outdoor adventures with his family and friends. Engracio's family, basketball, and music were his biggest passions while sharing the saving grace of God above all else. Engracio had been serving the Lord at a young age up to his last breath by sharing the good news of Jesus, discipling new believers, equipping church leaders, and conducting children's choir. He is survived by his wife, Melody; sons, Zuriel and Daniyyel; daughters, Nathalia and Hadassah; his mother, Marylinda; an older sister, Marigrace; his brother, Allan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, brothers, and sisters in Christ are invited to the thanksgiving celebration of his life as others reminisce and honor the life of Engracio at the True North Fellowship where he served as an elder on July 20, 2024, Saturday, 5:00 PM, Mountain Time at the Monument Hill Church building, 18725 Monument Hill Rd, Monument, CO 80132.
Engracio is predeceased by his father, Engracio Sr. (d. 2015) of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. He is also predeceased by his son Elnathan (d. 2023), and his older sister Araceli Gonzales (d. 2021).
