Ella was born in Denver Colorado to the late Howard McLean and Betty McLean on February 18, 1952. She departed this life peacefully at the age of 71 on July 24, 2023. She was the youngest of five children being the only girl, she is survived by brothers David McLean (Illinois) & Kenneth McLean (Colorado) and proceeded in death by brothers Gerald McLean and Wallace McLean. She was a Colorado native and grew up in Denver in the Elyria neighborhood. She graduated Manual High School in 1970 and worked many years as lead waitress at Azar’s (Big Boy’s) on Colfax. She then gave 30 years of service at Denver Country working in The Department of Human Services and retired at the age of 65. She is survived by her two daughters, Odette Barrows (Commerce City, Co) and Martha Finney (spouse Chris Finney of Palmer Lake, CO). She married the love of her life Bradford Lee Morris on May 10, 1986. Brad had three children of his own (Bryce, Sarina, and Brad Jr.) Together they raised their blended family and were for married 30 yrs. She was the grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brad passed away on November 27, 2016, leaving a part of Ella’s heart empty. She missed him every day. She survived her battel with cancer, a heart attack, and lived with diabetes for many years. Ella will be remembered has a strong and loving woman, a sister, a mom, a grandma, an aunt, a cousin, and a friend. We will miss her crooked smile, hugs, singing, and her love for her family. Services to be held on Friday September 22, 2023, at 10 :30 am, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church located at 4729 Vine Street Denver, Colorado 80126. A Celebration of Life reception to follow in the basement of the church.
