DENVER, CO- Elizabeth "Betty" Veronica Magee Cloutier, 95, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. She was born on October 25, 1929, in Washington D.C., to Adlai Stevenson Magee and Elizabeth Louise Hennessy Magee.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Daniel Raymond "Ray" Cloutier.
From an early age, Elizabeth was guided by a keen eye and an artist's soul. She entered Catholic University as a music major, and she later taught piano. Elizabeth won regional awards for her oil painting and her legacy includes a self published biography of the painter, Frank A. Bicknell.
In her daily life, Elizabeth particularly loved playing bridge, musing over a Scrabble board, and casting a discerning gaz over every piece of art she encountered. Besides her late husband, Elizabeth's great loves were her three children; Jennifer Loving, Graham Loving, and Candace Loving; and her three granddaughters, Olivia Loving, Serena Stafford, and Isabelle Stafford. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her siblings, Adlai Jr. "Sonny" Magee, Thomas Magee, Marilyn Barrett, Suzanne Maddox, Walter Magee, and Joseph Magee. A funeral service will take place at Arlington Cemetery in April.
