Eldon Howard Cott, 90, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Lakewood, CO. He was born on October 29, 1934, in Liberal, Kansas, to Rhylow and Mabel Cott (Cain). He graduated from Colorado Springs High School and attended The University of Denver, where he earned a BA. Eldon was an accomplished organic gardener, carpenter, and house painter. He enjoyed writing, Jazz, Classic Rock, and cats and dogs. He traveled the country, for many years, working as a Santa Claus. He was intelligent and witty and loved to read. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert Rhylow Cott; and his siblings Wayne Cott and Lois Kleveland. He is survived by three daughters, Catharine Cott, of Denver, Tina Langseth, of Minneapolis, MN, and Dawn McKinnis, of Lakewood. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Micah Cott Melton and Cody Cott Melton, Ian Langseth and Sophie Hootman (Andrew), and his nephew Kevin Kleveland. Eldon’s ashes will be scattered in the mountains.
