His family meant everything to him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his two sisters: Wendy Boutell (Daniel) and Jennifer Duff, and his children: Edwin Wood IV (Jennifer), Matheson Wood (Jamie), Alex Bond (Jordan), and Zachary Wood (Hannah), along with his eight cherished grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for life, zest for adventure, and indomitable spirit will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
In his professional life, Eddie was a successful insurance salesman, known for his sharp mind, work ethic, and the genuine relationships he built with everyone he met. Outside of work, he had many passions that defined him. He loved music and could often be found with his favorite tunes playing in the background. He enjoyed playing tennis, boxing, and working out, always keeping active and engaged. A true sports enthusiast, Eddie was an avid fan of football, especially the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan Wolverines. His love for grilling and enjoying a good meal with loved ones was also one of his many cherished pastimes.
A formal Catholic funeral will take place Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Vicksburg, Michigan, where family and friends are invited to gather and remember the incredible man Eddie was.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the thought that Eddie will live on through the love and memories he leaves behind. He was a man who gave his all to those he loved, and his legacy will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who had the honor of knowing him.
May he rest in peace.
