The story of
Donna JoAnne Lira, 61, of Hemet, California, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024. Born on August 28, 1962, in Hollister, California, Donna was a beloved member of the Lira family, remembered for her vibrant spirit and compassionate heart. Donna spent her career as a dedicated Respiratory Therapist at Desert Regional Medical Center. Her commitment to patient care was evident in the countless lives she touched, always offering comfort and kindness in moments of need. Beyond her work, Donna found joy in life’s simple pleasures—attending concerts, celebrating music, and expressing her individuality through her cherished tattoos and piercings. She is survived by her devoted mother, Norma Lira; her siblings, Debbie Calhoon, Anna Modglin, and Joey Lira; and her children, Zack Lira, Danny Lira, and Andrea Bovenkirk, who will forever treasure the memory of her adventurous spirit and boundless love. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Joe Lira. Donna's life was a shining example of dedication to family and a deep commitment to helping others. Her legacy of love and care will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Services and celebration of life for Donna will be held on August 24th at 1:00pm at Spirit of Joy church, 3126 w. Johnston ave. Hemet, ca. with a following reception at laurel park club house located at 761 sumac, Hemet gate code 044.
