The story of
Dennis John Ziegler March 27, 1948 - October 14, 2024 Dennis John Ziegler, 76, passed away at his home on Monday, October 14, 2024. He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and raised in Rugby, ND. The eldest of 10 children, he is survived by Mike, Larry, Mark, Peggy Mastel, Conrad, Mary Kay, Ken, Roger, and Jane Becker. Dennis was in active service as a medic in the army from 1967-1969, and he attended Berkeley University receiving a degree in Art History and philosophy. He made his living as a carpenter, but his true passion was always his art. He married Barbara Dice in 1975 and they had one child, Sebastian, in 1978. He is survived by his beloved son, Sebastian and his friend and former wife, Barbara. He was always a loving and devoted father to Sebastian. Dennis was a caring uncle to 16 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews. Dennis lived in a remote part of New Mexico for the last 30 years and devoted all his spare time to his art. He was a prolific artist leaving thousands of drawings and hundreds of paintings. His great wish was that the world would get to see and appreciate his art.
