The story of
Trisha Dalene Thedford Martin was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and spent her childhood in Moriarity New Mexico until she completed junior high school, she then moved to Moreno Valley, California to attend high school and eventually settled Nuevo, California. Trish was preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Edna “Mama Lou” Thedford, her brother Monty Thedford, her nephew Cody Atchley and her beloved Spot & Not. She is survived by her brothers Chris (Vonda) Thedford and Rick (Barbara) Thedford, her best friend of 40 years Debra Renfro, several nieces and nephews including Colette, Sophia, Scott, Makalynn, Madisynn, Timmy and Shelly and many, many friends. Trish was a one-of-a-kind girl who was raised by her brothers and was the toughest of all of them. She was a cowgirl who rode bulls, she also loved riding horses and motorcycles. She was an adventurer who loved to have fun and explore. It did not matter if you were boarding a cruise ship or driving cross country, she was always up for an adventure. Trish loved to gamble, and we would often get texts from her showing her latest win. One of her last adventures was with her friend Deb and her nieces. It wasn’t very far away or for a very long time, but they spent some cherished time together playing by the pool and filling the room with laughter. Trish was a hard worker. She spent most of her life working in construction and loved working with heavy machinery. One of the biggest smiles she ever had was when she was operating her heavy equipment. Trish could fix almost anything. She was the one you would call when your car broke down in the middle of the night when you were halfway to Vegas. She was famous in our little circle for finding “perfectly good” items and finding ways to use them. One of Trish’s favorite characters was Winnie the Pooh. Although I would say our Trish was more like Tigger. She could bounce around a party and make everyone smile. She had an amazing energy and could lift your spirits and make you smile even in your darkest hour, and once you met her, you never forgot her, and just like Tigger, there was no one like her, she was the only one. Trish was loved by many and will be missed by them all for a very long, long time.
