We are sad to announce that this October we lost our beloved father and mother, Corbin “Lee” Catchpole (04/07/1942-10/14/2023) and Barbara Joan Catchpole (9/01/1943-10/12/2023). They passed away just one day apart after 60 years of marriage. Proving once again that they were true soulmates from here to eternity. They will be missed by all very much.
Lee and Barbara were two unique souls who left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know them. They had a zest for life. They enjoyed playing a game of cribbage while watching their favorite television shows together with an adult beverage in hand. It wouldn't be unheard of for them to pick up and go at a moment's notice to Reno Nevada, their place of marriage or to the Oregon coast, one of their favorite places to vacation. Prior to their marriage Lee served in the Navy. They worked in many roles throughout their careers, often working side by side, most notably in the lockshop they owned and operated for years. They were well known and respected in the Pacific Northwest locksmith community.
Lee and Barbara will both be deeply missed by all who knew them, but their spirit will live on in the memories they created and the love they shared. More than you know!
They are survived by their son Ken Catchpole wife Claudia, their daughter Ann Catchpole, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and Lee's sister Darlene and her husband Ron Deering.
They were preceded in death by their son Dean Catchpole, devoted parents Martha and Kenneth Berrisford, Ralph and Loretta Catchpole, Lee's brother Jay, and Barbara's Brothers, Charles Berrisford, Dick Berrisford and his wife Daisy.
A joint service will be held on Tuesday 11/21/2023 at Willamette National Cemetery located at 11800 SE Mount Scott Blvd, Happy Valley, Oregon. Meet at the main office at 11:00 a.m. A procession of cars will then be escorted to the service site being held outside from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation or volunteer with your favorite charity.
