Christine Beard Stuart passed away peacefully in Phoenix Arizona on May 1, 2024 at the age of 76. She battled Pancreatic Cancer for many years.
Christine is survived by her husband, Charles H Stuart, her brothers John and Patrick Beard, her children Robert and Lynnette Hoppie, step children Charles, Travis and Cory Stuart, and grandchildren Trevor Hoppie, Sydni Wright, Jessica Spinks, Ryan, Joshua and Megan Hoppie, Mackenzie, Aaron, Seth, Eden, and Sarah Suart, Sydney Spaulding, Chandler, Lilly, and Charlotte Stuart, Desma Hoppie, Gabriella, Rayanna, and Malina Almanzar, and Cade, Dallin, Liam, Eliza and Quinn Stuart. She is preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Leroy Beard, brother Dennis Beard, daughter Allison Hoppie Almanzar and step son David Stuart.
Christine was born on November 14, 1947 in McMinnville, Oregon. Her father was employed with the FAA so the family moved frequently. They lived in Idaho, Montana, Oklahoma, back to Montana, and finally landed in Burley, Idaho where Christine graduated high school. After high school she moved to Salt Lake City where she met Lynn Hoppie while attending Salt Lake Business College. Shortly after, they were married and off to many adventures in the US Army. After the Army they settled in Springerville, AZ where the family lived on a small rural farm. From Salt Lake City to Springerville the family grew to include 3 adopted children. In 1985 Christine remarried Charles (Chuck) Stuart. She was known for adoring her grandchildren, her fondness for all things Disney, spending time in Hawaii, and her unwavering love for her furry friends. Her many dogs over the years were central to her life and some of her best friends. Christine and Chuck have resided in the general Phoenix area for the last 39 years with a few of those years in Woodland Hills, California.
Christine was passionate about her profession in the Insurance Industry. She obtained many demanding designations including CPCU, RPLU, AINS, AIS and ASLI. She often spent evenings sitting by the TV studying for exams.
Memorial Services are scheduled for May 18, 2024 at 11:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints located at 2220 N Harris Dr., Mesa, AZ 85203. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to any number of cancer charities or your local animal rescue.
