Cesare Isidro Torres was born October 11, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois. The son of Isido Joseph Mai (aka Joseph Frances Torres) and Desiree Williams, who married on January 1st, 1989 in Chicago, Illinois. Cesare was the fourth and last child of Desiree Williams Mai. He was the baby amongst four siblings (Vania, Valencia and Alphonso III), and he was a joy to all especially his mother.
Cesare attended Park Manor Elementary School, Arnold Mireles and Global Vision Academy in Chicago, Illinois. When the family relocated to Lexington, Kentucky, Cesare spent his time working for White Castle and Amazon. Cesare was sheltered most of his life, and has always had a quiet demeanor. Cesare loved his family and you would often find him surrounded with his nieces and nephews who he cherished deeply as they engaged in activities and just enjoyed family time. Cesare began his fight with illnesses at the age of 19, doing his best to manage diabetes, neuropathy, and later on blindness, renal disease, cardiovascular disease and even the inability to walk which took a toil on his body. Cesare had told his family in conversations that he would not see his 37th birthday and more. Christmas Day 2024, Cesare spent time with family, his mood appeared to be quiet and solemn, but he continued to enjoy the time they spent with him and told everyone as they departed that he loved them as if he was saying a final goodbye. Cesare made his transition from this world on the evening of December 25, 2024. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother (Desiree), his siblings (Vania, Valencia and Alphonso III), and a host of very loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends. Thank you for all who were apart of his life.
From MOM:
It’s hard for me to believe that he’s gone, for I was not ready. He was tired as he fought a continuous battle from September 2023 until Christmas 2024. His body took wings, but again, I was not ready. One thing for sure…My heart will go on and I must accept the fact that he’s in a better place. No more suffering at all. Goodbye my love and Rest in Peace.
Love forever Mom
