Larkin & Sons Mortuary
Arriving in the Salt Lake Valley in 1863 from Cambridge, England, George William Larkin, the pioneering founder of Larkin, initially worked on cutting stones for the Salt Lake Temple and as a Pony Express rider. Later appointed by Brigham Young, he oversaw the Ogden cemetery and in 1885, commenced the Larkin tradition of providing funeral services in Ogden. In 1912, George William's son, Alma J. Larkin, opened a Larkin Mortuary in Salt Lake City, relocating to its current site, the Hagenbarth Mansion, at 260 East South Temple in 1925. Alma played a key role in Larkin Mortuary's expansion until his unexpected passing in 1946, after which his sons, Alma J. "Jay" Larkin Jr. and Max S. Larkin, managed the company until 1984. Robert "Bob" Larkin then assumed the role of president until 2002, succeeded by Lance Larkin, who presently serves as president.

you know about funerals
There's no right way, only your way
After.com is the new home for funerals. We believe that families should be able to arrange and pay for cremation services entirely online from the comfort of their home. That the process should take them minutes, not days. And that the price they see online should be the price they actually pay.

We’re here to guide, not direct. That means serving you how you want to be served, planning how you want to plan, at a price you can afford. Our one love is helping you celebrate and honor your loved one. Everything we do is to save you time, money and energy for just that.

All-inclusive cremations
