Horan & McConaty Funeral Service
The roots of Horan & McConaty trace back to 1890, when John Horan's great-grandparents established a funeral home at the corner of 15th and Platte Streets in downtown Denver. In 1919, Jim McConaty inaugurated McConaty's Boulevard Mortuary at Speer and Federal. These families, deeply embedded in the Denver community, carried the tradition of funeral care through generations, eventually leading to John's acquisition of Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation in 1986. We take pride in our legacy as Denver's foremost family-operated funeral home.
