The story of
William J. Beeman, 83, of Elwood, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, in Florence, Arizona after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Born on October 10, 1941, to William G. and Irene Beeman in Elwood, Indiana. He was a skilled auto body man by trade (as well as an Army veteran) and he was a man of many talents. He was at his happiest when he was working on something or building something. There was not much Bill could not do when he set his mind to it. Bill was a very proud man and loved his wife and family fiercely. They broke the mold with Bill. Bill moved his family to Mesa, Arizona in 1980. The family lived in various locations but lived the majority of their family time in AZ at 21 South Crismon in a building he built himself, with the help of family. They even ran their own business there for a few years. Bill married the love of his life Opha Dean Dever in 1965. They raised 3 kids, Phil (Joe) Sherri, and David. Bill is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather to 4 wonderful grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Opha, his three children Joe, Sherri (Jeff), David (Juliette), grandchildren, Joseph, Alex, Spencer and Conner, brothers Bob and Harry and sisters Shirley and Sharon. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Irene, brother Jerry and sister Carolyn. There will not be a memorial service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
