Rodger Eugene Barbeau Sr. Born July 5, 1964 in Denver, Colorado to Oda Jean Wheeler. Rodger passed away December 26, 2023, at the age of 59 in Littleton, Colorado due to complications from diabetes. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rodger, a beloved son, brother, father and friend who departed this world too soon. He left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him. Rodger was raised in the east side of Denver and went to various schools in East Denver, but was not able to complete his high school diploma. Rodger was known for his goofy laugh, his impersonation of cartoon characters, freehand drawings, passion for WWE and his love of all animals, especially dogs. Rodger was a very giving individual who would give the shirt off his back to others in need, but would not think of letting others help him. Rodger was a very proud and strong headed individual (some would say, he was very stubborn), but he loved his family and friends. His presence illuminated the lives of family and friends and he faced life’s challenges with resilience, grace and a spirit that touched everyone that knew him. Survived by mother Oda Jean Becker, brother Ron Barbeau (Kathy Medina), sister Deann Oliver, son Rodger Barbeau Jr , daughter Marlayna Rodgers, 5 grandchildren, Analecia, Josiah, Caleb, Brandon and Kirmyiah. As well as 5 nieces, 4 great nephews and 1 great niece. Preceded in death by stepfather Roger Becker and brother in law Billie Oliver. As we mourn the loss of Rodger, cherishing the memories of shared laughter, joy, and the enduring love he bestowed upon us let us come to celebrate the joy and laughter he did bring to this world. Though Rodger has left the physical realm, his legacy lives on through the memories he has created with family and friends and the impact he had on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
