The story of
In Loving Memory of Kathie Joanne Steele Kathie Joanne Steele, born to Robert Steele and Dorothy Dunn, in Portland, Oregon on August 29, 1948, peacefully passed away in the presence of her family on October 12, 2023. She is survived by her children, Kalay (Shawn) McNamee and Erin (Adam) Feller, along with her cherished grandchildren: Claire, Sarah, Quinn, Phoenix, Irene, and Emrie. Kathie had a fondness for creating art. She expressed her creativity through oil painting and sketching. Her artistic talents were not limited to her personal pursuits. Kathie channeled her creative spirit into her role as Supervisor at Pacific Northwest Bell and US West Direct. She was also an avid reader. Later in life, she was an owner of the Royal Academy of Private Investigation – a school and a process server business, successfully merging her curious mind and her love for books with her career. Kathie found joy in the company of her beloved cats and had a deep fascination for hot air balloons, clowns, and gnomes. Her inquisitive nature led her to read mysteries and murder stories. Kathie's family and friends will treasure her memory. In spring 2024, Kathie's final resting place will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
