On Friday August 9, 2024 Gregory Anthony Panzarella left us to be with the Lord. He will suffer no more. He was 74 years old. Greg grew up in Chicago and had many careers including HVAC installer, drummer, bus driver, and plumber. Greg was in Chicago during the riots in 1968. He was in the park with friends and heroically came to the rescue of a friend and was seriously injured when he was stabbed. He actually died and was revived and by the grace of God he survived. He also survived a serious motorcycle accident that crushed his femur. Doctors of sports medicine were able to repair it. After he retired he earned a degree from Charis Bible College. He had the gift of counseling and his greatest joy was in helping and caring for people from all parts of the country. Some of them were in recovery with AA. Greg was sober for 36 years. Greg is survived by his wife, Donna, from Denver and son Paul and one grandchild from California. Services will be announced later.
