It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Etty Catharina Pattiasina-Waworuntu, who left us peacefully on September 20, 2024, at the age of 77. Etty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard Dirk Marcus Pattiasina, with whom she shared many years of love and partnership. Etty’s legacy of kindness and compassion lives on through her four children: Daniel, David, Adelle, and Grace Pattiasina, as well as her 12 cherished grandchildren: Brian, Alyssa, Aqila, Aurelia, Beatrix, Priscillia, Patricia, Nahum, Fadel, Farella, Farhan, and Noah. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Kesha, Dominic, and Michele. Survived by her two loving sisters, Yvonne and Melinda, Etty was surrounded by the warmth and care of her family in her final moments, with her children and grandchildren present through FaceTime. Etty will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her dedication to missionary work with GBI Kasih Allah, and her joyful spirit, which shone through in all aspects of her life. She enjoyed her leisure time playing golf and remained a pillar of strength and guidance to all who knew her. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her husband, Bernard.
