The story of
The first of four children born to Helen (Billie) O’Gorman from Cork City, Ireland and Francis (Bob) Kwiatkowski from Jersey City, NJ on 1/31/1952 in The Bronx, NY. Later, the family moved to Denville, NJ where she graduated with honors from Morris Catholic High School. Eileen was part of her senior yearbook staff and continued strong, loving, life long friendships (Linda Ryan, Pocono Summit, PA) til the day she passed. After graduation, she briefly attended Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Eileen then met and married William (Bill) Smith from Butler, NJ and had to two daughters: Danielle Smith-Boldt and Mary Ellen Riker. Unfortunately, that marriage ended and she later married once more to Roy Mabee from Dover, NJ. Eileen was a loving, kind, and gentle person that always put others before herself. She had a wanderer’s soul and was open to adventure lending to a lot of moving and exciting experiences for her and both her daughters. Always a mother first—and a strong fighting one at that—she had a ferocious spirit that was a force to be reckoned with. At a unexpectedly older age than normal, especially considering she was raising two children, Eileen decided to put herself through nursing school. Just like everything else in life that she put her mind to, she conquered the challenge and graduated County College of Morris, Randolph, NJ. After receiving her RN degree, Eileen became the Head Nurse of the Intermediate Telemetry Care Unit at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ. Eileen quietly suffered multiple chronic illnesses while continuing all her life’s goals: Lyme’s disease, Lupus, Diabetes, and COPD to name a few. These eventually these led to even more serious health issues that she continued to fight valiantly til the very end. She is preceded in death by her father, Francis (Bob), as well as both her brothers, Robert (Bobby) and Thomas (Sean) Kwiatkowski. Eileen’s immediate surviving family includes: her amazingly strong mother and glue to the family Helen (Billie) Womer; stepfather Leon Womer; her loving younger sister Kate Kwiatkowski; devoted daughter Danielle Smith‑Boldt; her adoring son-in-law Jesse Boldt; daughter Mary Ellen Riker; son-in-law Glenn Riker; granddaughter Luna Riker.
