The story of
On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Christopher Robin Bonsel, aged 64, left us to be with the Lord after battling Stage 4 Liver Cancer for over four years in Chino, California. He was born to Marilyn Bonsel on September 27, 1960, in Marion, Ohio. Chris served in the United States Air Force as a mechanic from 1980 to 1984. After, he worked in various fields ranging from a Taxi Driver in Mississippi to a Manager at Round Table in California. Chris eventually found his passion for aerospace, starting out working in the foundry working his way up to an NDT Level III Inspector over the course of 30 years. Chris was known for his hard work ethic and was an accomplished professional in his field of Non-Destructive Testing of aerospace components where he was Production Lead. Chris was proceeded in death by his mother Marylin, his two brothers: James and Robert Bonsel, and his sister-in-law Ronda Bonsel. He is survived by his two children: Brandi (Otis) Scott and Jasmine (Dustin) Riley, his seven grandchildren: Kailey, Khalil, Kyrie, Khanyae, Keiniya, Keonte and Kwamae, two great-grandchildren: Raleigh and Ky’zleana, and his three siblings: Ronald Bonsel, Brenda (Robert) Johnson, and Scott (Deborah) Pickens. Although Chris was separated by distance from most of his family, he carried an unwavering love for them and was very clear how proud he was of his children and grandchildren and who they had become. A Celebration of Chris’s life will be held in Ohio at a later date.
